Apparently it is dirt cheap to get land out here and people are still very knowledgeable about their environment (we ran into a lady who gave us some mushroom soup stuff she had made from mushrooms she had gathered on the mountain).

Tepeitic
These are some pictures form a small town north of Tezontepec called Tepeitic. We went out here one day for an 80th birthday party that our host was playing at (Lionel played piano in a band). later we went back and took some pictures. The place was nice because it was up in the mountains and a little removed from everything else. It had a very authentic feel.

We don't get to see places enough like this. It's isolation reminds me of that wonderful valley where the Palmers used to live.
